Highway Cycles Workshop Terms & Conditions

Please read all these terms and conditions.

You must read these workshop terms and conditions to make sure that they contain all that you want and nothing that you are not happy with. If you are not sure about anything, please phone us on 01992 536007.

  1. Highway Cycles will carry out the work to your bicycle agreed when booked and dropped off at the Hertford or Bishop's Stortford stores. We will not undertake any additional work or replace any parts without first quoting you for the additional work (via the HubTiger App) and obtaining your consent.
    We accept no liability for any defects arising with the bicycle as a result of not having additional quoted work undertaken.
  2. Highway Cycles will endeavour to complete the quoted work in a timely manner, and will give you an estimate of time required to complete undertaken work. Sometimes work can take longer than expected due to unforeseen issues, so these timescales are estimates and can not be guaranteed. Should you require your bike back on a certain given date, please make the Highway team aware of this when the bike is dropped off.
  3. We reserve the right to levy a cleaning charge to bicycles that are excessively dirty or have an animal fouling issue, and in extreme cases we reserve the right to refuse to work on such bikes.
  4. Payment in full is required on completion of any work undertaken to your bicycle and prior to the return of your bicycle. Highway Cycles reserves the right to retain your bicycle until you have paid in full.
  5. Highway Cycles asks that all completed bicycles be collected within 14 days of notification of completion. We reserve the right to dispose of your bike in a manner as to recover the cost of the repair after this point. You will be notified in writing via email and text message upon the completion of your repair. If you intend to pick up the bicycle after this point, please contact the store to arrange a mutually convenient time for collection.
  6. All repair work is covered by our 28-day service workmanship guarantee. If you have an issue with any of the work we have carried out on the bicycle, please contact us and let us put it right. We endeavour to keep you and your bicycle on the road and will do everything we can to ensure you have a smooth ride.
  7. Under no circumstances will we be liable to you for any indirect or consequential loss, damage or expenses (including loss of profits, business or goodwill, stress or inconvenience) howsoever arising out of any problem you notify to us under these terms and conditions and we shall have no liability to pay any money to you by way of compensation other than to refund to you the amount paid by you for the service.
